sport For those interested in arts and the sports, Ukraine and the city of Kiev will surely ignite interests. Sports occupy a significant place in the hearts of the people, and there are a number of sports clubs in the country. Professional and amateur soccer clubs and football clubs are present which include Arsenal and Dynamo.

The Olympic Stadium is one of the sports complexes that can be visited by those who love and know their sports. This was reconstructed in 1980 for the Summer Olympics. Though Soviet Union hosted the summer games during the 1980 version of the games, the city of Kiev hosted the preliminary matches and the quarterfinal matches of the football tournament.

This sports stadium is the largest stadium of any kind in Ukraine. And this is one of the 15 stadiums and sport complexes in the city. This stadium was constructed to accommodate an audience of 100,000 but when the stadium was updated and individual seats were added, the stadium can now accommodate at around 83,000 spectators.

Aside from the Olympic Stadium, there are other sport stadiums and complexes in the city of Kiev. Some of the more popular centers include Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium and the Palace of Sports. The names Kiev and Ukraine aren't only focused on outdoor sports but these two also host indoor sports.

So the first time visitors can also check out the many indoor complexes that are constructed for this purpose. One site that is worth your time is the Kiev Reservoir at the Vyshhrod and the one at the Trukhaniv Island at the Dnieper River just at the outskirts of the city.

This facility is worth checking out not solely due to the complex itself, but to the many recreational facilities and fine beaches that surround the area. The place appeals to locals and visitors as well thanks to other sporting activities that can be done in the island, like cross country bicycling.
