Odessa is connected to the main city, the capital Kiev by the main higway M05 which is a multi lane. The city is well developed in major road networks but is still undergoing renovation to include ring roads around the city to cater for passing traffic.

Odessa accommodates a variety of transport options with convenient access to railways at Odesa Golovna which is the main station giving access to Warsaw and Prague. Major roads connect to Romania and Moldova from Odessa. The airport nearby is Odessa International accessible via the road network and also by rail. Bus and tram services are available throughout the city, major bus routes connect to other parts of Europe including Berlin, Athens, Munich and Sofia.
