The beautiful city of Kiev is the ideal place to meet your future partner. The romantic atmosphere of the many onion domed churches and cathedrals add to the charm of this city. Once the capital of the first Slavic empire, with a history dating back 1,500 years.
The Kiev Rus stretched from the Black Sea to the Danube. This city has seen many waves of invaders, which is reflected in the mix of appearances of the inhabitants.
Many of the most impressive churches have been recently restored and a project of beautification of the city was undertaken to celebrate the 10th anniversary of independence of the Ukraine from the Soviet Empire.
Built on the steep sides of hills overlooking the wide Dnepr River, Kiev is also a busy port serving ships travelling South to the Black Sea nr Odessa, or North through Belarus towards Russia and the Baltic States.
If you visit the city in summer you may wish to visit the extensive woods and sandy beaches, which line the river, practically in the centre of the city.
Kiev is interested, a good selection of nightclubs and casinos. A wide and international range of food is available, such as Indian, Russian and Chinese, including of course Ukrainian cuisine, which includes a large variety of meat and fish dishes.
Many restaurants are set in historic buildings, which makes the dining experience even more special. Kiev has a good and cheap Metro system and getting around the wider city is easy if you can read a map!

You will Love Kiev.
You feel as if you are descending into the bowels of the earth, the tunnels are so deep. The reason given is that they were built as nuclear shelters during the Soviet era.
It could be that as the city is on hills and the lines cross the river they need to be initially deep or have steep inclines in the tunnels.
Our apartments are located in the centre of the city close to all the amenities. The old centre of the city is easily accessible on foot, if you don't mind the occasional hill!
In a day it's possible to walk a circuit of old Kiev, taking in: the Great Gates of Kiev (1037); the enormous Saint Sophia Monastery Complex (11th 18th C); the spectacular Cathedral of Saint Michael of the Golden Domes (1108 1113) and Saint Andrews Cathedral (1749 1762); which stands over Andriyivskiy uzviz, one of the oldest streets in Kiev, now a fascinating and thriving artisan market.
You may wish to walk to the river from here and take a river bus just for the experience or you could take the cable car back up the hill. Of course all of this would be twice as enjoyable with a sophisticated Kievian by your side.
